The Lewis Borsellino Interview:
Lessons from a Pit Legend

Behind the Scenes with the S&P 500 Pit Trader
Who Dominated the Floor

This trader is nothing less than a total legend…

If you were trading over 20 years ago there was no way you hadn’t heard of Lewis Borsellino…

A fearless S&P 500 pit trader, with an aggressive style and huge set of b*lls.

TRADING PIT

Many years ago I would listen to “Trader Pit Audio”, which was basically a guy with a headset standing in the pit telling all of us idiot screen traders what was happening in the real world…

  • Who was buying, who was selling
  • How urgent the market was

And he would specifically call out Lewis Borsellino’s moves, calling him the “number one trader.”

(Rumours went around about why he never used his name—more on that in the article below.)

It was definitely an edge at times, not every day, but some days it was priceless.

Anyway, here’s the interview:

It’s a super interesting conversation with an old-school trader who defined a generation.

Oh and here’s an article I wrote a while ago called “Floor trader, smashing size into bids”

It dives deeper into my take on Borsellino’s style and trading strategy.

It might add some colour to the type of trader he was…
