My Opinion on News

Don’t watch it. Listen, I know as traders we need to be informed. Perhaps one of the downsides of being a trader is that we need to know what’s happening in the world to understand what the bigger players thinking. Where is money flowing and why. So yes, be informed.

But please spare yourself the negativity of reading articles.

We know there’s a war, now two. And sadly we are all well aware of atrocities and simply unthinkable events occurring each day. But that doesn’t mean we need to read about it. Remember these media companies are a business. They want you angry, sad, and frustrated. Because that’s what gets clicks, shares, and comments. Which in turn makes money.

Don’t let them make you feel guilty for not reading. It doesn’t mean you don’t care, it means you choose not to let them into your mind. I don’t care how resilient you are, if you read that constantly it’s going to have an impact.

Do not get sucked in.

Refuse to engage. Your friends, family, and trading need you to be optimistic, strong, and positive.

Please protect that at all costs.
