The Most Dangerous Trader in the World
Why the Best Traders Embrace Uncertainty and Win
I hope you’ve had a great trading week.
So, I saw this tweet from Sahil Bloom…(can I still call it a tweet, Elon’s a powerful man now!)
THE MOST DANGEROUS
“The most dangerous person in the world is the one who shows up every single day, even when the rewards are uncertain.”
And honestly? Sahil didn’t mean it this way, but that applies to trading more than almost anything else.
Think about it.
Most traders want certainty. Right?
They want a system that works all the time, a strategy that never fails, an entry signal that guarantees a win.
But we both know the market is not like that…
As Steve Ward said whilst on my podcast “Get comfortable being uncomfortable”
That’s the game.
The reason trading can be so lucrative is that we get rewarded for the uncertainty.
Want certainty? Buy a government bond or stick your money in a savings account, and you’ll get your 4% per year, guaranteed.
But the real juice? That’s in embracing uncertainty.
The best traders don’t need certainty. They thrive in uncertainty.
It’s showing up, doing the work, and tolerating uncertainty better than the next guy.
Because the trader who can sit through that uncertainty?
He’s the one who eventually wins.
