The Trading Edge Lightbulb

In a recent traders call we were discussing edge and strategy.

One forex trader said something so perfect…

“I realised I’m really good at identifying where everyone else’s stops are, so I use that to my advantage. That’s my edge”

Perfect.

Why is it so perfect?

• The specificity
• The laser focus
• And the fact he realised this after digging into his prior trades and asking himself the question “Where is my edge?”

So now he can focus ALL his energy on becoming the very best at extracting profit from that edge.

He doesn’t need to deviate.

He doesn’t need to think about anything other than:

1. Where are other traders likely to have stops?
2. Can I take advantage of that?

When you simplify your trading, you massively increase the odds in your favour.

It’s worth spending some time thinking about.

And if you don’t have a definite answer to it yet, don’t worry, keep that question in your mind and that answer will come over time.
