Why July Was a Great Month for Traders
Analysing the Reasons Behind the Success
So it seems July has been a really good month for so many developing traders…
- Arno took a $5400 payout from his prop firm and posted his certificate.
- Rob had his most profitable trade ever on the DOW. Adding to the winner and sticking with it for several days.
- Ruchir is closing out a record-breaking month even after he increased his size.
And so many more messages of breakthroughs, new account balance highs, great trades…
I think it’s one of the best ever months I’ve seen for breakthroughs.
But why?
Why now?
Here’s my guess:
#1 The trading conditions are good.
Almost everything is moving in decent ranges. Indices, stocks, FX. They are all offering opportunities.
And that’s key, right?
The more opportunities you get to swing the bat the more likely you are to hit a few home runs.
Eg: Arno’s $5.4k payout was mostly on one big trade this month. But he had several attempts to jump on board.
#2 Persistence
All of these traders have battled through tough times, taken kicks to the head, and setbacks, yet kept pushing on.
They made adjustments, reviewed trades, kept logs, took notes, and committed to becoming the best they could be.
And that prepares you to take advantage of the ripe conditions when they come.
You’re in the right head space, dialled in, and ready to perform.
Rob couldn’t hold a winning trade for an hour let alone several days AND adding to the thing! (We’ve all been there…so it’s not a finger-point at you Rob 🙂 !)
#3 Surroundings
All these guys trade from home, so I’m not talking about physical surroundings here.
I’m talking about their peer group, who they speak to about trading, who they learn from, and what gets absorbed into the subconscious.
Now you’re probably thinking: “Ok Mark this is just you shilling your premium membership!”
Well there’s no doubt we’ve created an environment for traders to flourish, we just seem to attract the right traders with the right attitude.
Supportive, inquisitive, and ambitious.
But you can do it yourself if you like.
You don’t need to pay me a penny…
Simply find the right traders online, connect with them, set up regular times for Zoom calls, get accountable, push each other, and demand the best.
You can create your own trading team.
It’s just super tough to do this job alone staring at the screens wondering if you’re on the right path.
There’s no need to play this game on hard mode…
I’m curious… how your July has been?
Reply here and let me know how you’ve done, good or bad.
And if you aren’t where you want to be yet, don’t worry.
If you stick to it, keep learning and improving then your time will come…
